EMAG at the AMB

Visit us from September 10 to 14, 2024 at our Stand 4C50 in Hall 4

This year, we will present our latest automation systems for machine tools. Another area of our stand will be dedicated to solutions for joint machining and manufacturing systems for high-precision tooth profiles. You can also discover interesting topics from the field of hard finishing, such as new external cylindrical grinding solutions and combination machines for hard turning and grinding.

Visit us at our stand 4C50 in hall 4, where you can experience our latest products and solutions up close.

Our team looks forward to presenting our latest designs and developments to you and answering your questions.

See you at AMB 2024!

Our Highlights at the AMB:

Work area and front view of the WPG 7

WPG 7 - Precise, compact and cost-effective

Precise, compact and cost-effective - the WPG 7 external cylindrical grinding machine from EMAG WEISS is a great success on the market. It requires minimal floor space and can also be installed quickly, but at the same time features a whole range of high-tech components for flexibility and productivity.

Work area and front view of the VST 50

The new VST 50 - A ball pin every seven seconds!

Whether in the area of steering or in the chassis - ball joints are indispensable in our cars. They not only act as a kind of pivot point between different elements, but are also constantly in motion and exposed to high physical loads. In this context, ball pins and ball sleeves are among the safety-critical car components that have to leave production with a high surface quality and micrometer precision without exception - despite high quantities and general cost pressure.

Work area and front view of the HLC 150 H

HLC 150 H - Worm milling with optimized machining cycles

The use of automation in industry, particularly in robotics, is one of the most important drivers in a rapidly growing market. With increasing automation, the demand for powerful and reliable industrial gearboxes is also increasing significantly. The EMAG Koepfer HLC 150 H is a machine specially developed for gear hobbing and worm milling that meets the highest demands. It combines state-of-the-art technology with high flexibility and efficiency.

Work area and front view of the VL 4

VL 4 - Vertical pick-up turning machine for automated production

The VL 4 vertical pick-up turning machine can machine workpieces up to a diameter of 200 mm and a length of 200 mm, and can be used for hard and soft machining. The basic machine has three axes (Y-axis optional), a turret with up to twelve driven tools and an automatic loading and unloading system. The lathe is designed for the production of part families in small batches up to high quantities and can be linked-up with automation components such as conveyor belts, turners and robot cells.

Work area of the VT series

VT series - Modular shaft production live at the AMB!

High quantities on the one hand, complex geometric details on the other - shaft machining is a challenge for production planners. The vertical arrangement of VT 2, VT 4 and VTC 100 GT ensures unhindered chip flow. The series also impresses with fast 4-axis machining, technology combination turning & grinding, scroll free turning, gear hobbing and much more for fast production processes. All this including integrated automation for short cycle times.

Work area of the CLC series

CLC 200 - High-productivity gear hobbing

The gear hobbing machines in the CLC series were developed for the high-productivity machining of precision gears and have been characterized by efficiency, quality and versatility for many years. The spectrum ranges from spur and helical gears, worm gears and crown gears to short gears (splines) in various sizes.

MRC robot cell inside a machine tool

MRC robot cell - Bin picking - the clever way to reach into the box

The MRC robot cell was developed to make it easy to load and link-up our machine tools. At AMB, we will present a manufacturing system for the machining of planetary gears in the agricultural industry. This system combines turning on a VL 4 with hobbing of the tooth profiles on a CLC 200 from EMAG SU. The new MRC robot cell provides a modular automation platform for machine loading and link-up. With the bin-picking module, raw-parts can also be handled as bulk material in an efficient and resource-saving manner.

CRC robot cell with VL 200

CRC robot cell - For a continuous production flow

The CRC stacking cell is perfect for components with a diameter of up to 200 mm. It is loaded using workpiece carriers, which are housed in drawers and can carry up to 45 kg per drawer. A robot handles the components and loads and unloads the machines. The machine operator is only responsible for changing the workpiece carriers, which takes place simultaneous to the main processing time to ensure a continuous production flow.
